Blackstone Recruitment are working with a provider of education, care and support services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities who are recruiting for a Cleaner.

Location: Norfolk
Salary: £11.72
Hours: 4 hours daily, Monday to Friday. Potential start times: 4am, 5am or 2pm
Contract: Perm 20 hours per week, Term time only plus 2 weeks

The role:

They’re currently looking for a part time Cleaner to join our housekeeping team. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school.

Experience:

Successful candidate is likely to demonstrate the following:

* Dusting and polishing

* Maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen areas

* Vacuuming and washing floors

* Tidying up rooms

* Monitoring cleaning supplies and ordering more as and when needed

* Reporting any necessary repairs

* Keeping bathrooms stocked and clean

* Emptying bins and disposing of waste

Skills & Qualifications:

Successful candidate qualities:

* Understanding of principles of Health and Safety

* COSHH – safe use of chemicals

* Electrical safety

* First Aid Certificate – desirable but not essential

Requirements:

* Good level of fitness

* The role will require some manual handling tasks – lifting, carrying

* Ability to work with appropriate cleaning products

* Ability to safely use a range of cleaning equipment

* Understanding of health and safety legislation and/or have a willingness to learn

* Ongoing training will be provided to support this role

Due to the location of the school, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
