Design Engineer - Engineering & Manufacturing

Salary: up to £50,000

Full time, permanent position

Working hours - On-site, 39.5 per week / early finish Fridays

Are you an experienced Design Engineer with a strong background in CAD and product development? We are seeking a motivated individual to join an established business, working on a range of projects from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for design projects and work closely with customers and internal teams to develop and refine product designs.
Produce detailed dimensional and technical drawings.
Generate bills of materials and ensure accurate documentation.
Support manufacturing teams, prioritising work as required.
Liaise with external certification bodies where necessary.
Investigate and resolve design and quality-related issues.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.

What We're Looking For

Technical Skills & Experience:

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
Experience in developing product designs from specification to final production.
Design for manufacture expertise.
Knowledge of materials and fabrication methods.

Soft Skills & Attributes:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with quality standards (ISO9001 beneficial).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
