Suppliers are critical to what they do, and they need a Commodity Buyer who can build strong relationships, drive cost savings, and put proper procurement processes in place—because right now, there aren’t many!

They operate globally, supplying into industries where quality, cost, and delivery are everything. That means negotiation skills, supplier management, and strategic sourcing are key in this role. You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team, working directly with senior management, and making a real impact from day one.

Commodity Buyer - What You’ll Be Doing

* Sourcing & Negotiation – Find the right suppliers, negotiate pricing, and lock in long-term agreements.

* Cost-Saving Initiatives – Identify opportunities to improve pricing and reduce spend without sacrificing quality.

* Supplier Management – Build strong relationships, track performance, and ensure on-time delivery.

* Process Development – There’s no set way of doing things yet. You’ll help put structure in place and improve procurement operations.

* Cross-Functional Work – Liaise with engineering, quality, and senior management to align procurement with wider business goals.

What You’ll Need

✅ 3+ years in procurement – Manufacturing or related industries preferred.
✅ Negotiation & cost analysis expertise – You need to be comfortable leading supplier discussions.
✅ Confidence & communication – You’ll regularly be dealing with senior stakeholders, so you need to hold your own.
✅ Problem-solving mindset – This isn’t a plug-and-play role; you’ll be building processes as you go.
✅ Bonus points if you can read tech drawings or have experience with manufacturing processes (not essential).
