Lycon is now looking for reliable and flexible Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers to join our clients dynamic team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading delivery services in a fast-paced and essential role.
Job Type: Temporary
Salary:
* Shifts that start and finish before 2am pay day rate
* Shifts that start and finish after 2am pay night rate
Class 1:
* Before 2am - £23/hr
* After 2am - £24/hr
Class 2:
* Before 2am - £22/hr
* After 2am - £23/hr
Shift Flexibility Required
About the Role: As a driver, you will be responsible for transporting mail and parcels between various sites, ensuring safe and timely deliveries across different locations.
There is a lot of work available, however this job also requires drivers to be flexible in terms of working hours.
Available locations:
* Park Royal
* Greenford
* Hatfield
* Milton Keynes
* Thurrock
Duties:
You’ll be responsible for safely transporting mail and parcels between sites, ensuring goods are delivered accurately and on time. Your duties will include:
* Operating a Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) vehicle safely and efficiently
* Completing delivery and collection routes to meet operational needs
* Ensuring compliance with all driving regulations, including road safety, working hours, and vehicle maintenance
* Loading/unloading parcels and ensuring proper handling of mail
* Keeping accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections
* Communicating effectively with logistics teams and operational managers
* Providing excellent customer service when interacting with depot staff and customers
Requirements:
* Have at least 1 year of experience as a Class 1 or Class 2 Driver
* No Codes such as DD,DR,IN,TT99
* Have less than 6 points on your driver's license
* Have no criminal convictions in the last 5 years
