Sales Engineer
Sales Engineer - Job Role:
We are a market leader in the manufacture of low-volume, high-quality, tubular and threaded components for various sectors, including Aerospace, F1, Oil and gas, and Defense industries. We are looking for a SALES / ESTIMATING ENGINEER with CNC Machining knowledge to join our Sales team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This would suit a Sales Estimator, Engineering Subcontract Buyer / Expeditor, or previously experienced CNC machinist who is looking for a new challenge in an office environment where they can apply their excellent IT and communication skills to a customer-focused role.
Sales Engineer - Responsibilities
Dealing with and processing of sales orders, enquiries, queries and quotes
Receiving sales orders and liaising with customers regarding product specifications, order details, delivery, and special arrangements
Regular liaison with customers building great customer relationships
Receive, review, and reply to Customer RFQs and their technical queries.
Create timely and accurate estimates and quotations from customer enquiries and technical drawings.
Liaising with customers over the phone and via email, regarding technical and non-technical questions, providing a client-centric service.
Producing quotations to deadlines – estimating all machining, materials, and inspection times for in-house elements and incorporating externally sourced elements such as sub-contracts when applicable, developing new and existing supplier relationships.
Understand and identify machining methods of manufacture and select accurate cycle times (CNC Turning & Boring experience a distinct advantage)
Liaise with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
Remuneration: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum
Hours: 42.5 Hours
