We are searching for a new Kitchen Assistant to join our team. You will be working closely with the Home Manager and Kitchen Team to support the chefs in producing high-quality, well-balanced meals for our residents.
In this role you will be:
* Supporting production in all areas of the kitchen
* Adhering to the HACCP procedure according to Athena’s Food Safety Management Documentation
* Maintaining the kitchen hygiene and support with opening/closing down procedures
* Producing sandwiches, cakes and buffet items with the guidance of the duty chef
* Supporting chefs to ensure minimum wastage
* Actively participating in discussions, with the kitchen team, to improve the service
* Understanding the function of due diligence paperwork and record food, freezer & fridge temperatures

Experience
For this role, it is preferable you have:
* Experience in a similar hospitality role for a minimum of 2 years
* Knowledge of service delivery standards
* An understanding of the individual needs of residents and nutrition

Rate of Pay: £11.44 p/h – Full time role on a rota basis with alternate weekends
