Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or AssocRICS) to join a growing team and play a key role in ongoing success. Reporting directly to leadership, the role involves managing a variety of instructions and mentoring junior team members, including assistant surveyors and placement students.

This is a diverse and rewarding role with significant potential for growth and development. The successful candidate will gain exposure across a wide range of building surveying services—both professional and project-based—within a practice that values autonomy, creativity, and ambition.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting residential pre-purchase and commercial pre-acquisition surveys.

Investigating and reporting on building defects and pathology.

*

Supporting and mentoring assistant surveyors and placement students.

*

Working closely with administrative staff to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

*

RICS-accredited degree or equivalent.

*

MRICS or AssocRICS qualified.

*

Experience with residential surveys essential.

*

Strong understanding of building pathology and construction methods.

*

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

*

Ability to manage projects and teams effectively.

*

A team player with a proactive, adaptable mindset.

*

Full UK Driving Licence.
