My client provides a high specification service which includes, but is not limited to, responsive repairs, planned maintenance, refurbishment, adaptations, roofing, drainage and 24/7 emergency response.
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a Commercial Background experienced in managing multiple social housing reactive and planned maintenance contracts, and delivering an efficient customer focused service, predominantly working with the Operations and Finance Director, as well as managing and mentoring team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivery of best practice across all aspects of the full commercial QS responsibilities from interim through to final account.
* Managing projects, processes and workstreams to achieve industry-leading performance and customer service and identifying ways to increase profitability and productivity.
* Conduct detailed and informative surveys and measuring of works ensuring compliance with regulatory and health & safety standards and provide expert technical advice and solutions.
* Ensuring timely, consistent, reliable and accurate forecasts in line with project, client and reporting cycles.
* To manage and approve Sub-Contractors procurement, rates and invoices before being sent for payment.
* To manage and approve client invoices and client contractual rates before being sent to clients, ensuring all costs are in the system.
* To manage the team to ensure quotations, variations/changes and percentage mark-ups are recorded and actioned correctly, and works are carried out to a high standard and in a timely manner.

Manage client relationships ensuring clear communication and reporting and addressing any concerns in a timely manner to ensure contract payments are on time.
* Provide monthly reporting to Directors.
* Delivery of best practice across all aspects of the role and workstreams
Requirements
* Proven track record and experience of managing reactive, planned, and major works projects.
* Proven experience of leading, managing and motivating teams.
* Extensive knowledge of NHF schedule of rates.
* Experience of budgets, cost models, measurements, valuations, forecasting and management reporting.
* Excellent IT literacy including Microsoft Office
* Good working knowledge of health and safety, and regulatory practices
* Ability to investigate technical, administrative or financial issues using your expertise to provide solutions.
* Excellent customer service skills
* Full Driving Licence
