Position: Process Commissioning Operator

Rate Guide: £400.00 - £450.00 Per Day (Outside IR35)
Duration: 12 months+
Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for Southern Water.
They are looking to recruit a Process Commissioning Operator/Engineer for a key water project near Oswestry on a contract for 12 months+. Responsibilities of the role will include:
Responsibility for process monitoring of the plant
Daily monitoring of the process operating parameters (MLSS, SSVI, final effluent analyses, sludge thickener performance, sludge, chemicals)
Daily monitoring of equipment (oxidation ditch (inducers, blowers, instruments, ferric, caustic, sludge thickeners, etc)
Monitoring of analysers, recalibration of instruments, ordering of reagents
Adjustment of process parameters to maintain performance
Regular meetings with Southern Water regarding progress, performance, etc.
Assisting the site team with shutdowns, access, etc.
Assist in development of initial Commissioning Programme
Attend Progress & Commissioning Meetings
Compile commissioning documentation and deliverables
Provide input into Commissioning Strategy Reviews and Documentation
Liaise with sub-contractors regards commissioning deliverables and interfaces
Assist Training Coordinators in compilation of training deliverables and engage in SW Training sessions.
Assist O&M Coordinators in compilation and review of O&M Manuals
Distribute Commissioning Log / Daily Diary's and any other information from Engineers
Assist in the preparation of take over reports
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Knowledge of water/wastewater processes
Process or Chemical Engineering Qualifications
Maintenance or operating background and experience of fixed and mobile plant would be beneficial.
Knowledge of relevant treatment processes would be advantageous
