About The Role
We are a dedicated residential service providing high-quality care and support for adults with learning disabilities. Our goal is to offer a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment where our residents can live their lives with dignity and independence. We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Domestic Cleaner to join our team and help maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our 10-bedded facility.
Role Overview:
As a Domestic Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the residential service is kept clean, safe, and hygienic for both our residents and staff. You will be responsible for cleaning common areas, resident bedrooms, bathrooms, and other communal spaces within the facility. Your work will directly contribute to providing a comfortable and pleasant living environment for individuals with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
Clean and disinfect resident bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas.
Ensure that all cleaning materials and equipment are stored and used safely.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate staff.
Support the creation and maintenance of a hygienic and tidy environment that promotes the well-being of residents and staff.
Adhere to infection control and health and safety protocols.
Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a smooth-running environment.Essential Skills & Qualities:

Previous cleaning experience is preferred, but not essential.
Understanding of the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in a care setting.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A positive, friendly attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules and procedures.
A commitment to maintaining the dignity and respect of residents at all times.
A good understanding of health and safety practices.Desirable:

Experience working in a care home or residential setting.
