Henry Martin is partnering with a Tier 1 main contractor to assist in their search for an experienced Bid Manager.

As a Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing major projects by leading the preparation, submission, and successful delivery of high-quality bids. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, ensuring that proposals are client-focused and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

Our client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented professional with a proven track record of managing successful bids in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure and excel in fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the end-to-end bid process for multi-million-pound tenders.

* Develop winning strategies and compelling content tailored to client needs.

* Collaborate with internal teams, including pre-construction, design, commercial, and operational teams, to produce technically robust and commercially viable bids.

* Engage with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to understand requirements and expectations.

* Lead bid submissions, ensuring compliance with deadlines, quality standards, and client specifications.

* Coordinate post-submission reviews and feedback to enhance future bid performance.

* Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity.

Key Requirements:

* A strong background in bid management, ideally within a Tier 1 contractor.

* In-depth knowledge of construction processes, procurement routes, and contractual frameworks.

* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals.

* Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities.

* Proficiency in bid management tools and software.
