An award winning, well-managed and organized manufacturing facility is looking to secure the services of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support a small team with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing and repair of stationary industrial machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment.

This is a day’s role with operational hours: 07:00 to 15:00 – Monday to Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ensure that Health and Safety Legislation and Company policies are being always complied with.

* Carry out electrical repairs on any, and all, plant and equipment.

* Ability to troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults and problems

* Assist the Maintenance Manager in maximising Plant availability through the implementation of planned and preventative maintenance schemes.

* Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, PLC devices, variable frequency drives and other electrical equipment.

* Read and interpret drawings, ladder logic, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.

* Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools.

* Coach and develop Apprentices and direct them to ensure successful task completion.

* Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

* Significant experience in an electrical maintenance position.

* Time served electrical engineering apprenticeship program.

* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation

* Practical experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), DC Drives, Servo Controls, Pneumatics, Temperature Controls and Power Distribution Systems.

* Familiarity with IEE wiring regulation 18th Edition

* Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Microsoft Office experience

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
