Senior Ecologist - Manchester

A leading consultancy is seeking a driven Senior/Principal Ecologist to join their Manchester team. With a diverse client base across residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, this role offers the opportunity to lead exciting ecological projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage ecology projects, ensuring high-quality delivery.
Conduct habitat and protected species surveys, Ecological Clerk of Works, and produce technical reports.
Manage subconsultants and mentor junior ecologists.
Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.Essential Requirements:

3-5 years' experience as an Ecologist.
Degree in a relevant field.
Full CIEEM membership.
Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, EIA, and planning processes.
Experience in project management, fieldwork, and report writing.
Valid UK driving licence and flexibility for travel.Benefits:
