Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our well established client.
Job Duties:
Responsible for driving the current and future electronic product range. Supporting multiple departments and ensuring to deliver excellence to customers worldwide.
Review, update, and potentially redesign current electrical items to meet quality and safety standards.
Support the testing and development of products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they meet the latest standards and regulations.
Generate crucial documentation, such as Wiring Diagrams and build instructions, to guide manufacturing and assembly processes.
Specify, design, test, and integrate electronic equipment as per project requirements and company standards.
Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment, ensuring all products are safe and effective.
Exposure to the full product lifecycle from concept generation through to product release.
Requirements:
Electronics Degree (or equivalent).
An understanding of analogue and digital circuits.
Fault finding to component level.
Good understanding of the regulatory landscape of the UK, EU and US and a proven track record of designing for compliance with appropriate standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable explaining complex engineering concepts to both a technical and non-technical audience.
Someone not afraid to be ‘Hands-on’ and work with the team to work through challenges from first principles on the bench.
Experience in Assembler/BASCOM programming languages is desirable.
Experience in PCB design using EasyPC is desirable.
Use of Multimeter, Oscilloscope and Power supplies.
Safe practice of Mains voltage primary (side) Transformers.
Working knowledge of IT skills particularly with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience of working with Industrial standards and Directives.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and timescales.
Able to travel nationally & occasionally internationally.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm and Fridays 8:30am - 2pm.
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Per Annum.
