Job Title: Senior/Principal Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer

Our Cardiff office is expanding, and we are looking for a talented Senior or Principal Chartered Engineer to join our team.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with 8+ years of experience, capable of independently managing projects and coordinating with clients and staff. The role is predominantly focused on structural engineering and offers excellent opportunities for further career development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage multiple projects from inception through to completion, ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.

* Coordinate and oversee the work of allocated staff, providing guidance and support to ensure project deliverables are achieved on time and to the highest standards.

* Engage with clients regularly, maintaining strong relationships and addressing any project-related queries or concerns.

* Develop innovative and practical engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

* Prepare and review technical reports, designs, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

* Participate in project meetings, both internally and with clients, providing expert advice and updates on project progress.

* Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

* Contribute to business development activities by identifying opportunities for new projects or services.

Ideal Candidate:

* Chartered Engineer (ICE, IStructE, or equivalent) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

* Strong background in structural engineering, with proven experience in managing and delivering complex projects.

* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

* Proficient in the use of relevant design software and tools.

* Strong leadership abilities, with experience in coordinating and mentoring a team.

* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
