Principal Data Engineer – London (3 days hybrid) - £90-100k

Hexwired Recruitment has partnered with a company leading the technology charge in a dynamic SaaS environment focussed on distribution and supply chain management. They are now seeking a Principal Data Engineer who will play a crucial role in shaping the company strategy with data collected from the platform.

As a Principal Data Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the design, development and delivery of high-quality data models and pipelines. You will work closely with product and development leaders to take ownership of strategy as well as develop the data roadmap with a strong bias towards growth and innovation leading a team of data analysts and engineers to aid the progression of the team and company.

As this role is a split of strategic and development, you will also design standard data analytics solutions within the product and craft specialised solutions within the embedded business intelligence tool. Additionally, you will handle customer requests for data access and manage the execution of data exports, provide actionable internal insights to drive continuous improvement across all levels and set and uphold quality and governance standards for data and master data management, creating processes to ensure accountability and the maintenance of high-quality data.

Key skills required for this role:

* 8+ years’ of experience as a Data Engineer

* Expertise in building data models and pipelines from scratch

* Solid experience using Python and SQL

* Solid experience with AWS

* Experience working with SaaS products
