About the Opportunity:
A market leading Defence client of ours based in New Malden are currently in the market for an Electrical CAD Engineer. In the role you will be a key member of the Hardware Engineering team, you will be responsible for the creation and review of electrical designs and drawings to deliver on a Defence maritime platform management project.
Responsibilities:
Produce electrical schematics using AutoCAD electrical
Support the creation and management of Bills of Materials (BOM)
Provide electrical engineering support to the Electrical Design Engineering team
Develop component libraries to support schematics
Review electrical schematics in accordance with relevant standards and internal Computer Aided Design (CAD) processes.
Maintain documents and drawings through development and production changes
Collaboratively support other engineering functions from a mechanical drawing perspective
Raise and action Change Notes (CN)
Manage and adhere to configuration management processes for baseline control throughout the full project lifecycle
We are looking for:
Strong experience in an Electrical CAD position
Understanding and working knowledge of electrical related Defence Standards, including Lloyds Register and other Military Standards (e.g. Def Stan 59-411)
Proficient user of AutoCAD Electrical or similar
Ability to work independently on own initiative, as well as within a collaborative team environment
Ability to work under pressure in a complex and rapidly changing environmentDisclaimer:
