Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team on a key infrastructure project. This role involves supporting the commercial management of a 600mm water main installation, ensuring efficient cost control and compliance with contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will contribute to the project’s success through accurate reporting, effective change management, and collaboration with site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost Capture: Ensure accurate recording and reporting of project costs.
* Payment Applications: Prepare and submit timely payment applications in accordance with contract requirements.
* Change Control: Manage and document project variations and changes effectively.
* On-Site Measurements: Conduct accurate measurements on-site to support valuations and reporting.
* Pricing: Assist in pricing tasks where applicable to ensure budgetary alignment.
Qualifications and Skills:
* HNC or Degree Qualifications
* 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Proficient in cost management and reporting tools.
* Knowledge of construction industry standards and practices, especially in utilities or water mains projects.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
