NXT Recruitment are proud to be working on behalf of one of the leading Accountancy firms in Cumbria who are seeking a Probate and Wills Adviser to work in their growing Probate and Wills team.
The Role
To provide probate and estate completion services to clients in a supporting and professional manor as well as helping the team with their business goals and standards. The ideal candidate will be a person who can provide a professional service in a sensitive environment whilst finding ways to improve/develop the departments processes.
Key Duties
* Handle all probate tasks and guide clients during the process to ensure estates are finished on time, meet all important deadlines, and keep executors informed about the progress.
* Meet clients and guide them through the processes whilst gather all required information/documents.
* To prepare and submit all necessary probate & estate administration documents.
* Helping clients understand what they need to do for setting up a Trust, gathering all the necessary information, and getting the Trust officially registered when needed.
* Gather and organise personal and financial information from clients to offer them suitable advice on wills and estate planning.
* To draft, prepare and register wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and other estate planning documentation, of varying degrees of complexity, together with any ancillary documents and correspondence.
Requirements and Skills
* Experience in estate administration, including managing a caseload.
* Experience in administering estates that exceed the inheritance tax threshold and completing IHT400 returns.
* Experience in completing applications for a grant of representation.
* Experience in Will Writing (not essential)
* Proficient in using Microsoft applications
* High standards of work with a strong sense of confidentiality.
* Strong emotional intelligence and able to support and assist clients during sensitive times.
