Purpose of the role & how you will contribute:

As a Corporate Legal Adviser, your expertise will be vital in providing strategic legal guidance to the NFU and its subsidiaries. Your main responsibility will be to review and advise on commercial contracts, and in additional, you will ensure compliance with data protection legislation, playing a key part in driving forward the NFU's business initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

As a qualified Solicitor, or equivalent, with a current certificate to practice law in the UK, you’ll have expertise in drafting, negotiating, advising and reviewing commercial contracts. In addition, you will have experience advising on intellectual property and data protection or you will be willing to undertake training in these areas if required. You will have excellent communication and influencing skills and be experienced in providing pragmatic and high-quality legal advice at all levels of the NFU to help the organisation navigate legal matters and comply with the law. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously and under pressure are some of your strengths.
