We are recruiting a Process Engineer - Graduate to join our technical department. The technical department work on projects to design and deliver Process solutions in critical environments e.g. cleanrooms, industrial plants and controlled high-tech manufacturing spaces. The Process Engineer will develop their skills during all stages of a project from design, construction, commissioning and validation.
This role is based in Didsbury, Manchester and will involve regular visits to sites.
The role:
* Support with the design, analysis and optimisation of chemical processes to improve efficiency and ensure safety.
* Prepare detailed engineering documents, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Be involved in client presentations and regular site visits.
* Conduct process simulations and calculations to ensure efficiency and safety.
* Monitor and analyse process performance, using data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Assist in the commissioning and start-up of new processes or equipment.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
* Be aware of health and safety requirements in all aspects of the role.
* Have a keen interest in Automation, Industrial Digitalisation and Sustainability.
The person:
* A 2:1 degree in an applicable field i.e. Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
* The desire to build a career in Process Engineering and Validation.
* Knowledge of HAZOP, HAZID and ATEX industry standards.
* Previous experience in a related engineering role.
* Understanding of good manufacturing practices – GMP.
* Basic understanding of typical pharmaceutical sites and common equipment i.e. Cleanroom classifications, Air Handling Units, Water For Injection (WFI) systems.
* Experience in using Microsoft software with excellent excel skills.
* Strong communication skills with a willingness to attend client meetings.
* Passionate about the industry and the willingness to progress.
