Manufacturing Team Leader – £34.5k (Hourly paid, on average the TL annual salary is £43k with overtime included) + 4 Day Week (Mon-Thurs) + Life Assurance + 5% Pension Match + Career Progression in Growing Company!

Due to continued expansion, they have a fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Team Leader Engineer to join their team in Bolton. The working pattern for this role is 7am-4.45pm (Monday to Thursday).

The Role:

The Manufacturing Team Leader provides direction, instruction, and guidance to the team of operators in a defined area to ensure targets are achieved. The Manufacturing Team Leader participates as a member of the operational leadership team to deliver monthly / annual production plan. The Manufacturing Team Leader role is a “hands on” role with a strong requirement for direct man management within an aged unionised environment.The role operates in a heavy industrial environment across a number of skill sets weld/fitting/painting and polishing and has the potential for growth within the next 12-18 months.

Main Responsibilities include:

* Support the flow of operations on a day to day basis

* Track the team performance and support the daily cell production activity and work flow

* Work a % of the time directly in product manufacture when required

* Ensure resources are available (manpower, machines and material)

* ID training requirements through the area

* Communicate clear instructions through start of shift meetings on a day to day basis and report feedback to area production managers

* Ensure compliance with established quality standards

* Lead on health and safety for the Team (including risk assessment, wellbeing of staff, accident investigation and reporting)

* Suggests continuous improvement projects

* Leads 5s status

* Maintain KPI's, ensure targets (for example: Quality, costs and delivery) are met

* Lead the team to continuously improve the area

* Capacity plan to meet order requirement

* Ensure TPM regime is adhered to maximise machine availability

* Supports/ performs manufacturing roles when performance decreases due to sickess/ holiday

* Support company in developing further lean activities

* Maintains standards, practices and procedures for cell

What Is on Offer:

Our client is offering the Manufacturing Team Leader a competitive basic salary of £34.5k. In addition, you will receive:

* 4 Day Working Week (Mon-Thurs).

* 4 day week, 20 days holiday plus BH

* Average team leader salary is £43k including overtime
