About this Role:

Experienced Project Director required to take the lead on a large new build industrial building on the outskirts of Bristol, due to commence on site later in the year. Value circa £80m+

As Project Director you will be responsible for managing the project through the final preconstruction stages through to start on site in in Q3/4 2024 and then throughout the construction phase through to handover in 2025/6. You will lead your project team holding ultimate responsibility for client liaison, design development, construction methodology and programme of works, the smooth and timely progress of construction on site, contractual and financial control of the project throughout, plus safety and quality control.

About the Company/Client/Project:

The client is a leading national main contractor with secured workload in the large industrial, data centre, commercial, education, commercial and high spec residential sectors across the M4 corridor.

Projects range in size from £40m to £100m+, secured through a mixture of national and regional frameworks, negotiated schemes with repeat clients and competitive tenders. There is a good pipeline of future work, including 3 more similar schemes in the South West region.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

You will ideally be an experienced Project Director, originally from an engineering background with a proven track record within a major contracting organisation, able to deliver large scale design & build schemes up to £70m+ in value.

Key attributes will include excellent high level client, design team and project team management ability, technical, contractual and commercial knowledge, plus focus and drive.

Experience of delivering large industrial buildings is essential for this role, and of delivering cold storage facilitiy buildings would be highly advantageous.
