As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing and maintaining some already well-established relationships in and around the Midlands of the UK in addition to new business generation. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will work as part of a team managing your own diary and be responsible for ensuring customer’s requirements are met.

Key duties and responsibilities: 

Operate as the key contact for accounts within your assigned area/region.

Continuously looking to maximise sales. 

Ensure allocated accounts run within the expected levels of margin.

Be reactive to account issues ensuring you seek satisfactory resolution for customers.

Targeted and strategic new business prospecting.

Support customers with planning and development.

New Product presentation and tasting. 

Host regular and structured depot and supplier visits with customers.

About you:

Previous sales experience within a similar FMCG business, preferably within the food sector.

Hospitality experience.

Customer care experience.

A good understanding of supply chain.

Strong IT literacy.
