A small primary school in Gloucester has an exciting opportunity for a part-time SENDCo. This is a chance to work with an extremely dedicated team and have a positive impact on children's educational experience. This is a temporary role starting in September and is likely to become permanent in January. As SENDCo you will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Main Responsibilities
Lead SEND provision across the school
Work in conjunction with SLT
Ensure all statutory/legal requirements are met for children with SEND
Lead Annual Review meetings
Create and review support plans with teachers and parents
Regularly liaise with parents and keep them informed
Deploy SEND staff and resources effectively
Monitor and evaluate SEND staff performance
Keep up to date with the latest SEND legislation
Essential Criteria
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (NASENCO)
Desirable Criteria
Previous experience working in a leadership team
