We are seeking a Senior Ecologist to join a well-established, innovative environmentally conscious business who provide a comprehensive ecology service, from baseline surveys to impact assessments, habitat creation and management, and expert witness advice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing and managing UK Habitat Classification and protected species surveys.
* Quickly preparing tenders and detailed fee proposals.
* Producing technical reports such as PEA, BNG, protected species, habitat management plans, BREEAM, HRAs, and EcIAs.
* Leading medium to large projects, including financial tracking.
* Supervising junior ecologists.
* Resolving logistical and legal challenges.
* Working with a flexible schedule.
This role is a fully remote position, working from home and in the field in your local area. You have the flexibility of managing your own time without having to visit an office location.
We're seeking experienced ecologists, including Senior Ecologists or Principals, who are interested in a new opportunity. Candidates must be fully qualified or a qualifying member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management, hold a relevant bachelor's degree (or higher), and have at least one protected species license. A Personal Track Safety accreditation would be a valuable asset.
