Yard Operative - Nottinghamshire - Up to £35,000 per year

We are looking for a motivated Yard Operative to join our client’s busy team in Nottinghamshire. This is a hands-on role, supporting the daily operations of a potato and grain storage facility, with full training provided for the right candidate.

Role:

* Operate the potato washing system and support the daily running of the storage facility.

* Load and unload potato and grain lorries efficiently.

* Use forklifts and telehandlers to move potato boxes around the site (training provided).

* Operate a caterpillar loader as needed (training provided).

* Ensure accurate and up-to-date paperwork is maintained.

* Keep the storage and yard areas clean and organized, maintaining quality standards.

* Shunt trailers on-site as required.

Salary/Benefits:

* £30,000+ per year (dependent on hours worked)

* Overtime available at time and a quarter.

* Continuous personal development and training opportunities.

* 40+ hours per week with weekend work (OT) on a monthly rota basis.

Skills/Experience:

* Forklift and telehandler experience is desirable but not essential (training provided).

* Experience with on-site shunting is preferred but not required.

* Ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on daily operational needs.

* Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
