Position: MOT Tester

Salary: £47000 - £60000

Rota: Monday to Friday – Day Shift

Location: Crawley

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and tests on vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

MOT Tester - Duties

* Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

* Perform detailed inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension.

* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and adjustments as necessary.

* Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and any issues identified during testing.

* Communicate findings clearly to customers and provide recommendations for necessary repairs.

* Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.

* Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts and equipment as required.

MOT Tester - Requirements

* Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar role within the automotive industry.

* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.

* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

* Capability to perform heavy lifting when required.

* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interaction.

* A valid MOT testing qualification is essential.
