Infrastructure Engineer

My client is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This is a remote role however, you will be required to go into the Leeds office once a month for team meetings.

About the role –

* Proactively manage data centre environments and cloud infrastructure to ensure the delivery of services, applications and data, primarily using VMware and Veeam.

* Proactively manage core, centralised and distributed technology.

* Ensure all technology domains, components and services are secure and operated securely.

Experience/skills –

* 5+ years experience in managing & supporting Microsoft server operating systems and infrastructure applications

* Experience in coaching, mentoring & developing others within the team.

* Experience delivering, managing and supporting innovative technology solutions within compute, storage and security domains.

* Cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, network & security services, (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS)

* Server, storage & networking hardware

* Virtualisation

* Virtual Desktop Technologies

* Cloud technologies (Azure)

* Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery (VMware, VEEAM, etc)

* WAN, LAN

* DNS

* Network & information security

* Microsoft Server Operating Systems

* Microsoft Active Directory, Federated Services, Azure AD

* Linux skills are an advantage
