We are recruiting for two Licensed Animal Technicians to join our client based in Exeter. Our client is the fastest growing UK Research facility with some of the world’s most influential scientists. They are rapidly expanding centre of international excellent research. They are offering a starting salary of £26,000 – £29,600 including a relocation package if needed.

As a Licensed Animal Technician, you will be responsible for the health and welfare of the facility animals, supporting the research team in their projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Husbandry and animal care of rodents in the unit

* Actively using Home Office License under ASPA act 1986

* Supporting the facility with daily husbandry tasks

* Be one of the key members of staff to be responsible for medicines

* Record keeping, such as animal and laboratory records

* Assisting with animal experimentation and research

Job Requirements:

* PIL License holder (Modules A-C)

* IAT Level 2 qualification

* Previous experience training staff members

* BSc or higher in Biological Sciences or equivalent degree

* Previous experience working with rodents in a research facility
