About the role:

Support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their learning and development, helping them engage with the curriculum in a tailored, supportive environment.
Implement individualized strategies and interventions to manage behaviour and promote social, emotional, and academic growth.
Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to track progress and adapt learning plans to meet the specific needs of each child.
Encourage positive interactions and communication among students, fostering a safe and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom.
Assist with daily routines and personal care, ensuring students are supported in all aspects of their school day, both academically and socially.
The ideal candidate must:

Have the right to work within the UK
DBS registered on the update system or willing to purchase one
Have experience working with students who have Autism
Be comfortable and adaptable working in different environments
Be able to support the teacher in and around the classroom
Work with small groups of children
