Accounts Assistant – Nottingham (hybrid) – Full and Part-Time Considered – £23,000 - £27,000 + Study Support (AAT) + Bonus
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a junior finance professional to join a well-established national professional services firm. This role is ideal for those seeking to further develop their finance career within a supportive and dynamic environment. Both full-time and part-time positions will be considered, with the successful candidate initially focusing on finance processes to support the management accounting team.
About the Role: This Accounts Assistant position will primarily involve supporting month-end activities through the processing of journals. It is particularly suited for candidates at the beginning of their AAT journey. You will be part of a collaborative management accounting team, assisting with month-end and weekly processing tasks. As you grow into the role, you will be given opportunities to take on more complex management accounting responsibilities, paving the way for progression into an Assistant Management Accountant position.
Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end processes by preparing and processing journals
Support weekly financial tasks to maintain efficient workflow
Progress to more comprehensive management accounting preparation as experience grows
About You: The ideal candidate will be someone who is starting or has recently started their AAT studies and has around one year of experience in a fast-paced finance environment. You will be motivated to advance your finance career with both practical experience and professional qualifications. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic, busy setting and enjoy working closely with a team.
Experience Required:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Currently pursuing AAT studies or degree qualified
Previous experience in a fast-paced finance environment
