As a Stores Person, a summary of your responsibilities below:
* Stock Management: Receive, count, and organize stock items, ensuring they are stored methodically for easy access. Maintain computerized stock records and verify inventory accuracy through regular physical counts. Address discrepancies promptly.
* Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers about outstanding orders, source and order parts within a weekly purchasing budget, and explore alternative suppliers to secure the best market prices for parts.
* Sustainability Practices: Assess end-of-life parts for recycling, sale, or return to maximize sustainability efforts.
* Invoicing and Reporting: Process invoices for ordered and delivered parts and materials. Generate weekly and monthly stock level reports for management review and provide monthly updates to mobile mechanics.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain equipment and storage areas in compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
* Customer and Mechanic Support: Supply parts to mechanics and fitters, ensuring full support for services and defect lists. Handle parts issuance to both internal and external customers efficiently.
* Communication and Collaboration: Maintain daily communication with mechanics to ensure smooth stock supply operations and customer satisfaction regarding service levels.
