7.30 to 4pm Monday – Friday
This is a varied role which would ideally suit someone who enjoys being hands on as part of the team but also enjoys the responsibility of overseeing the production processes and not afraid of a small amount of admin too. It is a physical role which also requires someone with good management a keen eye for detail and basic IT skills dealing with emails and basic spreadsheets. Your day will be across all aspects of the business from ensuring production is going to plan, overseeing deliveries, material/product testing in line with QC systems, , manage batch traceability, organising bespoke labelling for customers, Quality, stock control in fact working closely with the Production Manager between you responsible for all areas of the site and when not managing you will be happy to roll up your sleeves and help with whatever needs doing as part of the team.
Ideal backgrounds could include any production environment however if you have a background which includes Batch Traceability with QC checks and Testing such as Food, Chemicals, Minerals etc. that would be ideal but not essential.
Your role would include (but not limited to) the following ....
1. To ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plant and equipment.
2. In the absence of the production manager be the first point of contact for shift operators that need guidance or support in their role.
3. Take responsibility for training of new operators and ensuring training documentation is signed of accordingly.
4. To ensure that all process and quality documents and procedures are always followed and that any issues are raised with a manager or relevant department as required.
5. To reduce product loss and waste at every opportunity through good manufacturing Process.
6. To assume responsibility for any in process procedures including but not limited to the following:
* In process paperwork and process information.
* Material / product testing in line with QC systems.
* Stock control.
* Setting up of production machinery to specified parameters in line with production schedule.
* Product Labelling as per Customer specific specifications.
7. Ensure housekeeping and site organisation is structured and tidy.
8. Any observed issues or improvements are communicated correctly. I.e. maintenance, H&S issues.
9. Opening and locking up of site as required.
10. Working as part of a wider production team to ensure all operators are working in a safe, compliant and supported way.

This is a rare role in an exciting new factory for a well-established global business which has recently moved this part of the production to the UK.
