I am supporting a partnering school in recruiting for a Teacher of Art on full time basis to start in January 2025.

The successful Art Teacher will be responsible for teaching students the fundamentals of visual arts, fostering creativity, and inspiring a passion for artistic expression.

This role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons in various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital arts. The teacher will assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic development and exploration.

Skills required…

* Strong knowledge of various art techniques and media

* Ability to teach diverse student populations with varying skill levels.

* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

* Ability to inspire creativity and foster a love of the arts.

* Familiarity with current trends and technologies in the arts, including digital art tools and software.

* Ability to move around the classroom and demonstrate various art techniques.

Responsibilities….

* Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum for students at KS3 and KS4.

* Teach a range of techniques and art forms, including but not limited to drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital media

* Integrate cross-curricular learning experiences that link art with other subjects such as history, literature, and science.

* Create engaging, hands-on lessons that challenge students’ creative and technical abilities

* Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported.

* Encourage students to participate in art competitions, community art projects, or collaborations with local artists or organisations.

Qualifications:

* A Bachelor’s degree in Art, Fine Arts, Education, or a related field.

* QTS, QTLS, and / or relevant teaching experience
