The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Senior Planner ready to take ownership of a major project while influencing future builds? This is your chance to lead the planning function on a £100m flagship commercial and retail development in the heart of Manchester—one of the region’s most ambitious mixed-use schemes.
You’ll join a respected Tier 1 main contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale developments across the UK. As Senior Planner, your input will be key in leading the planning process from concept to completion, while mentoring a Project Planner who will support you on the ground. You’ll also contribute to tender planning for upcoming schemes, ensuring the pipeline remains as impressive as the delivery.

Your Responsibilities
As Senior Planner, you’ll hold a central role in managing both live and pre-construction programmes. Key duties include:

Leading planning on the flagship £100m Manchester development using Asta Powerproject.
Coordinating with design, commercial, and site teams to align programme strategy with delivery goals.
Supporting tender submissions with robust, well-structured construction programmes.
Mentoring and developing a Project Planner assigned to the scheme.
Representing planning at client and progress meetings, offering insight and guidance.
Identifying risks, creating mitigation plans, and ensuring key deadlines are met without compromise. This is a senior role where your expertise as a Planner will drive the success of both current and future projects.
