Job Title: Site Engineer – HV 132kV (Civils & Cable Laying)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer with a strong civil engineering background in High Voltage (HV) power infrastructure, specifically 132kV ducting and cable laying works. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering HV civils projects safely, on time, and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out and overseeing the installation of HV ducts, cable trenches, joint bays, and associated civil works.
Ensuring works are completed in line with design drawings, client specifications, and industry standards.
Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure efficient and safe delivery.
Conducting site surveys, taking as-built measurements, and maintaining accurate records.
Assisting with risk assessments, method statements, and permits to work.
Monitoring quality, progress, and compliance across HV civils activities.
Reporting regularly to the Site Agent / Project Manager on progress and technical issues.Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Engineer on HV (132kV or above) infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of ducting, cable laying, trenching, and reinstatement processes.
Experience working within civil engineering environments for power transmission/distribution projects.
Proficient in using total stations, GPS, and setting-out tools.
Full UK Driving Licence 
CSCS Card – essential.
SMSTS or SSSTS – desirable.
NRSWA, EUSR (Power or SHEA) – advantageous.
HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent – preferred.Benefits
