Are you a skilled and enthusiastic Process Controls Engineer looking for a new career opportunity? Our client, a reputable manufacturer based in the Greater Manchester area is seeking a talented individual to become an essential part of their dynamic team.
Job Details:
* Develop, maintain and optimise control systems implementations including operation and maintenance procedures.
* Participate actively in department/plant safety programs.
* Design, implementation and testing of control system changes required due to equipment upgrades and new product introductions and process improvements.
* Function as a troubleshooter to provide technical support to operations and field technicians.
* Perform system analysis, scoping studies, improvement, front-end design work, and/or collaborate on designs with consultants and contractors.
* Develop and install advanced controls that ensure line management and plant operators can achieve the optimal run-point for each process to achieve production targets.
* Support two manufacturing sites – Manchester (80%) and Germany (20%). Some travel to Germany is required approximately 2-3 times a year.
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements:
* Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering (essential)
* 3-5 years of proven experience in the maintenance of control systems within Chemical or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (essential)
* Previous experience with Siemens PCS7 DCS platform (essential)
* Must be willing to travel (essential)
What’s on offer:
* Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 16:00pm (Must be willing to support after office hours as and when required)
* Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (doe)
