School Pastoral Administrator Based in Lambeth, South East London
£15 - £18 per hour

A busy multicultural Secondary School based in Lambeth is looking for a Pastoral Administrator. The cover is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8am - 4pm and will be a long term temporary contract to start as soon as possible.

Your new role
The role will be heavily based around attendance, admissions and behaviour management. The role will be responsible for clerical and administrative support to the school pastoral leaders. This will involve investigating school absences and monitoring figures with the pastoral team. You will also be responsible for supporting SLT with the distribution, collection, collation of pupil data required by the pastoral team and external agencies. The role will entail administrative duties regarding to pupil exclusion - production and distribution of letters to all relevant parties, recording all exclusions on the school's management system, compiling permanent exclusion documentation and minute taking minutes.
What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have a high level of communication skills and be able to work quickly under your initiative, as well experience of working in a similar role within a school. You will also have recent satisfactory references for carrying out a similar placement within the last 2 years. You will also need to have an up to date DBS check, the school can't accept any applicants without this
