Job Opportunity: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Finchley, London
Salary: £48,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - Days and Nights rotation
The Role
Our client, a leading and innovative manufacturing organisation, is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their expert team. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of cutting-edge machinery in a fast-paced production environment. You’ll be hands-on with both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks while contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and optimise the performance of machinery such as ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging systems.
Breakdown Response: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently, minimising downtime.
Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Carry out planned maintenance tasks to reduce the risk of equipment failure.
Electrical Testing and Compliance: Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety standards and legal regulations.
Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to company and industry health and safety guidelines, identifying and mitigating risks.
Documentation and Reporting: Accurately record maintenance activities, including repairs, servicing, and inspections.
Team Collaboration: Train and mentor junior team members, sharing expertise to build a stronger engineering function.

Our client is looking for a skilled and proactive individual with:
Multi-skilled engineering expertise, with a strong focus on electrical maintenance.
Experience in food manufacturing is a plus, but applications from other manufacturing sectors are welcome.
Knowledge of PLC fault finding and diagnostics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
