Overview
This is an opportunity to grow a very successful and growing business in Manchester.
You will have full responsibility for the late shift and there will be excellent opportunities for development.
The Site Production Manager is one of the best in the industry and having him as a mentor will almost certainly accelerate your career.
The Role
* Ensure that your team are constantly working safely and following the correct procedures.
* Ensure all written and online documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
* Lead the production team adhering to internal processes and procedures, to ensure good production efficiencies and good manufacturing practices.
* Manage staff rota in accordance with labour budgets (including agency staff).
* Ensure production plans are completed on time and in full.
* Attend and contribute to production and shift meetings.
* Complete all training assigned to you in a timely manner, training other members of members of staff where necessary.
* Identify areas of improvement in both the production and packing areas, in relation to both efficiency and quality.
* Manage holiday requests and absences in line with the company policies, ensuring that everything is recorded accurately on our HR software.
* Manage your team in a fair and consistent manner in line with company policies.
* Support and direct the team effectively to ensure they are equipped with the right skills and knowledge.
* Perform tool changes when required.
* Be the responsible person on the late shift.
* Cover line leaders and operatives when necessary.
The Candidate
* Knowledge of OEE.
* Good computer skills.
* Able to demonstrate leadership skills IOSH
* Self-motivated, driven & committed.
* Strong and effective communicator.
* Structured and well organised.
