If you are seeking an opportunity to work as a Quality Engineer APQP on a contract basic located in Oxford you will gain the opportunity to focus on mobility, enginery storage sustainability and efficiency.

Job Description

As Quality Engineer APQP your main responsibilities are:

APQP Implementation: Lead and manage the APQP process for new product launches and significant changes, ensuring adherence to customer-specific requirements and industry standards.
Manufacturing Support: Work closely with production teams to monitor and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring that quality standards are consistently met and that any deviations are quickly addressed.
Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that they meet quality requirements and support APQP activities, including audits and supplier development programs.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality planning activities, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders as required.

Qualifications / Skills needed

You will have proven experience gained in a manufacturing quality environment, preferably in Aerospace, Defence, Automotive or similar sectors and a minimum HNC/Degree in Engineering or a business-related discipline.
Experience of electrification and battery technology is a distint advantage
You will also have experience in the use of business improvement tools and techniques (5s, Lean, Kaizen) and using APQP tools and techniques.
Experience in the use of problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma etc.) and techniques is a must along with proven knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, TS16949 (IATF16949), and ISO14001.
Knowledge and use of statistical analysis and process capability studies would be beneficial
