Our established Client in Dover is looking for a Mechanical Technician

Salary: up to £40K pa DOE

As Mechanical Technician you will:
* Carry out all aspects of improvement, maintenance and repair works to assets within the team’s particular area of expertise.
* This will require considerable technical knowledge over a wide range of engineering plant, equipment, and installations.
* You will be required to carry out maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment, which includes Linkspans, HGV’s, RORO Tugs, Cranes, Hydraulic systems, vehicles, and small floating craft
* You will be required to carry out this work to a very high standard, working on one’s own initiative and with minimal supervision.
Mechanical Technician - Skills and Qualifications
* Apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline to minimum NVQ level 3 standard and associated C&G’s or equivalent
* 3 years post trade-qualification experience in relevant discipline
* Hydraulic, heavy machinery, plant and or vehicle experience
* Experience of reviewing and creating RAMS
* Experience of Mechanical assessments and fault diagnosis
* Technical specialist knowledge in a wide range of plant and equipment
* Good standard of IT literacy
* Full driving licence
* Experience of welding/fabrication would be advantageous
