The School:
Known for its high expectations and aspirations for all students, this school offers a special provision for boys aged 5-11 years with social, emotional and mental health needs. As an SEND teacher, you will be aligned with the provision’s mission statement that focuses on; creating a safe and happy learning environment, and promoting a positive and supportive environment where students can develop a sense of being valued and heard in their own right. This is supported through their recent “Good” Ofsted report. All classes are small and tailored to best meet the individual needs of each child.
Qualifications & Experience:

Experience of de-escalation and positive behaviour management strategies, such as Team Teach
2 years teaching experience ideal but not essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience working with primary aged children.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A deep understanding and passion for SEND, with the ability to adopt different teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
A patient and nurturing approach to working with children with SEND SEND Teacher Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering, engaging and motivating lessons with a personalised curriculum tailored for students
Encouraging independence, self-esteem, and a love for learning in your students
Creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being.
Collaborating with our dedicated support staff and multi-disciplinary team to ensure each child's progress.
Monitoring and tracking student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed. Haven’t heard of anzuk?
