Job Title: EHCP Writer

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £150 to £200 per day

GSL Educationare looking for a skilled and compassionate Education Healthcare Plan (EHCP) Writer to join a vibrant and dynamic school in Sheffield!

As an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) Writer, you will work closely with families, schools, and professionals to craft tailored Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) that provide the necessary support for students to achieve their full potential. If you have a strong understanding of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to make a meaningful difference.

Responsibilities of the EHCP Writer:

Collaborate with schools, parents, and multi-agency professionals to gather information and write high-quality Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
Ensure that the plans are person-centred, addressing each student's unique educational, health, and care needs.
Review and assess existing plans, making updates or recommendations, as necessary.
Stay informed on local and national legislation related to SEN and EHCP processes.
Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders throughout the EHCP process, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
Requirements of the EHCP Writer:

Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP guidelines.
Experience in writing or reviewing EHCPs or similar documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with families and professionals.
Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines under pressure.
A detail-orientated mindset with a passion for supporting the educational and personal growth of children with SEND.
Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
