We are currently looking for a FLT Operator role available at Kemsley Mill for our client DS Smith.This role is ideal for someone with a valid FLT licence and experience with Forklift for both Counterbalance in the previous roles.

Role: FLT Operator
Location: DS Smith Packaging, Kemsley Mill, Sittingbourne ME10 2TD
Rate: £16 per hour
Contract length: 3 months initial contract with possibility of extension
Shift Patterns: 60 Hours per week,shift rotation: X1 week of day shifts, X1 week of night shifts and then X1 week off

Responsibilities:

* Operate a Forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials and finished goods to various warehouse areas.

* Follow all plant and safety standards including wearing proper PPE.

* Loading and unloading of trailers.

* Careful handling of finished goods.

* Managing shipping and receiving work

* Read and interpret the Vendor Bill of Lading.

* Perform all other duties as assigned by Management.

Essential requirements:

* Experience with valid Counterbalance and in a Warehouse/Manufacturing environment Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

* Ability to work to the shift pattern at all times

* Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* The ability to work as a Teamplayer as well as on own initiative

* Reach, PPT licence
