Warehouse Operative
Location: Raunds
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Hours: Full-Time, Shifts Available (early morning, day, or night shifts)
Job Purpose:
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a critical role in our supply chain by ensuring parcels are sorted accurately, handled safely, and prepared for timely dispatch. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to supporting Company's reputation for reliable and fast service.
Key Responsibilities:
Sort, scan, and label parcels accurately and efficiently according to the specified delivery route and area codes.
Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring all parcels are handled carefully to avoid damage.
Operate sorting machinery and equipment safely, following all operational procedures and safety guidelines.
Perform regular checks on equipment and promptly report any faults or maintenance needs.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Work closely with team members to support smooth warehouse operations and effective parcel distribution.
Prepare and secure parcels for dispatch, including wrapping and stacking items when necessary.
Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team leads regarding any issues, delays, or changes in workload.
Skills & Experience:
Previous warehouse or manual handling experience is preferred but not essential, as training is provided.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks, including lifting items of varying weights.
Familiarity with scanning and sorting equipment or willingness to learn.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for sorting and categorizing parcels accurately.
Reliable and punctual, with the ability to meet shift schedules and productivity targets.
Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a diverse team.
Basic communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Requirements:
Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends and peak times (e.g., Christmas).
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Willingness to participate in training programs and adhere to Company's safety protocols.
High level of personal integrity and respect for team members and customers.
