Our highly regarded client is looking for an additional full time permanent person to join their team.
Hours of work are 6am to 4pm (Monday to Thursday) 6am to 230pm Friday.
Role and Responsibilities
To perform various and assorted goods in & out as well as finishing operations within the organisation, with a focus on delivering material right-first-time and in line with delivery performance targets set by the senior management team. Activities include, but are not limited to, the tasks and duties set out below and all other duties as issued via your Line Manager and Senior Managers.
You will be part of the Post Production team, specialising in the operation of goods in & out as well as other finishing activities, using your skills to support all areas of the finishing processes. Your role is to ensure all jobs are delivered on time and in full in a timely manner led out within internal systems i.e. workflow.
Your line manager is the Internal Logistics Coordinator, who reports directly to the Production Director.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you take on the responsibility for all operations within the goods in & out department as well as the finishing department. You will be expected to
● Strive for excellence.
● Maintain traceability at all post production stages.
● Ensure all product arriving on site is recorded on our system and any discrepancies raised with your Line Manager immediately.
● Maintain a high standard of housekeeping – Audit and customer ready at all times.
● Correspond all paperwork and products before loading/unloading goods
● A metric of your performance will be 100% delivery without issue each month.
Safety
● Support, and ensure compliance with the health and safety at work act 1974, the company H&S policy, QHSE policy and all other company policies and procedures.
● Work in a safe manner as not to harm themselves or others.
● Comply with statutory, regulatory or local safety standards within the finishing.
● Report all issues to your line manager, all issues that may result in personal injury or harm.
Goods in & out operative’s tasks and duties and responsibilities
In addition to the following tasks, you are expected to complete any other tasks required of you by your supervisor, the senior leadership team, or the organisation’s requirements.

Quality & conformance
* Identify any product on arrival at the site
* Update internal systems including but not limited to transport screen, raw metal/product stock
* Scan all goods as they are loaded onto the vehicle
* Make sure all transport paperwork is provided to the customer, carrier and signed.
* Upon receipt of raw material, it is your responsibility to:
* Identify & label the material
* Consolidate weights with raw material orders
* Book raw material in to the raw material system
* Perform positive material identification (PMI).
* Provide banksman assistance where required
* Perform preliminary inspection on material as it arrives, checking quantity and weight where possible.
Communication
● Complete failure reports with accurate detailed information for all non-conforming material.
● To keep all internal systems up to date and report any issues to the line manager including but not limited to blade change data spreadsheets and blue bin spreadsheets, workflow, and stock.
● To hand over to other shifts in a professional manner.
● Keep workflow up to date with relevant information.
Productivity
● Update to line manager if transport deadlines are not achieved.
● Drive continuous improvement processes in your role of expertise.
● Distribute consumables to the relevant departments as they arrive.
General & housekeeping
● Maintain a high level of housekeeping at all times as set out by the line manager.
● To undertake regular cleaning of the area as per the cleaning schedule.
● Keep the yard clean tidy and organised

Therefore the scope of this role is limited only by your ability.
