Transport Admin.

Contract Type: Maternity cover.

Pay rate: £24,500 - £29,000.

Location: Bury St Edmunds.

Start Date: ASAP.

We are looking for Transport Admin to start immediately for our client based in Bury St Edmunds looking for Transport Admin.

The successful Transport Admin can expect:

£24,500-£29,000 dependant on experience
Weekends x 0.5 premium
Overtime after 37.5hrs per week x 1.5 premium
On-call phone £10 on weekdays
On-call phone £35 on weekends

As a Transport Admin you must:

Preferably experienced in working within a transport / logistics business.
Knowledge of Driving hours rules and regulations.
Understanding of vehicle compliance and defecting procedures.
An understanding of occupational Health & Safety related processes.
Demonstrate a professional attitude when dealing with internal and external customers.
Hands on attitude and the willingness to lead by example and develop and encourage positive team spirit.
Computer literate with experience using MS Office.
Well organised.
Clear communicator - good written communication.
Strong safety and compliance focus

Transport Admin responsibilities include:

To carry out the day-to-day, safe, and effective fulfilment operation, including all Primary bulk, Primary cylinder and secondary bulk and cylinder distribution movements ensuring optimal effectiveness for driver and vehicle utilisation. Actively engage in the site safety requirements and support transport planning with customer master data management. Assisting the Transport Controller in maintaining transport compliance across drivers and fleet.

This position is commutable from Ipswich, Stowmarket, Woolpit and Thetford.
