Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:
* Develop and implement a clear, ambitious vision for the Science Department in line with the school’s goals.
* Lead and inspire a team of science teachers, promoting best practices and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning within the department, using data to inform strategic decisions and improvements.

Curriculum and Assessment:
* Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of the science curriculum at all key stages, ensuring it is engaging, challenging, and aligned with national standards.
* Lead curriculum innovation, integrating modern scientific advancements and ensuring that students develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ensure effective assessment practices are in place, including regular analysis of student data to track progress and plan interventions.

Staff Development and Performance:
* Support the recruitment, induction, and professional development of staff within the Science Department.
